Hey there,
some time ago I've made this little example. It makes textures look 3-dimensional - just like bump mapping does. In this example it's demonstrated on a rotating ellipsoid, but it looks best on floors and walls. Just give it a try. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks, have fun! Pretty cool actually, nice effect. The only problem is (as shown in the screen) the poles of the sphere are not textured correctly.

Yeah I know, but I used that ellipsoid only for the example (maybe that was stupid ^^). I didn't try to texture it correctly. Like I said before, the effect looks best on floors and walls.
